It’s been some time since we last heard about Eddie Murphy allegedly joining Danny Devito and Arnold Schwarzenegger in a Twins sequel but actor Josh Gad may have hinted it’s still being worked out. In a recent talk with The Music; Gad who co-wrote the script says that he heard everyone on the expected cast including Murphy loved the script. The only thing now it’s waiting for proper backing to move forward.
Speaking to The Music this month, US actor Josh Gad, who penned the script for the potential sequel, has given an update on the progress. “The script exists,” Gad confirmed. “Arnold and Danny and, I believe, Eddie Murphy have read it and, I believe, loved it. “It’s about getting the movie financed at this point which I have nothing to do with. I’ve done my part and now the onus is on the collaborators whose project this is to go and do it.” The sequel was initially announced in 2012 by Universal Pictures and it is expected that the original film’s director, Ivan Reitman, will return to co-produce if the film does eventuate.
